Free Backlink Checker Tools

One of the best ways to build up your rankings in the search engines is with the use of backlinks. Backlinks are simply that - links "back" to your website from other sites. So how do you know what sites are linking back to you and what your "score" is? You need a backlink checker tool! Here is a list of some of my favorites: - 1) Yahoo Site Explorer
A fantastic tool for getting a great bunch of inlinks. Keep in mind this is only Yahoo's rankings. - 2) Backlink Watch
I like this one because it also shows the Out Bound Links (OBL) of the referring site. - 3) Free Backlink Checker
Sort your inbound link domains by site, pagerank, and IP address. Nice features to face. - 4) Domain Inbound Links Checker
This tool shows separately different classes of URLs like .com, .edu, .gov, etc. Use these tools to help analyze your backlinks and find out who is linking to you. Backlink Spying! You can also use these tools to check the backlinks of a site that is similar to yours (like a competitor). WHY? So that you can track down high PR sites that you can get backlinks from as well - article directories, Qassia, forums, blog comments, link directories, link exchanges, etc. A little bit of research can find a TON of great backlink sites to boost your rankings!
